To many this takes them back to long days spent in an old wood-paneled library, surrounded by leather-bound tomes and books, some new, some barely hanging on with tattered old paper and delicate suede spines. To others it reminds them of their favorite vintage bookstore. Either way, this candle will capture that comforting mood of wanting to curl up in our reading chair to read our favorite book.
Notes of Oak, Teakwood, Peru Balsam, Indian Sandalwood, Oud, Leather, Resin, Suede, Paper, & Texas Cedar-wood.
The Memory
This Candle is an ode to "Vellichor", which is the wistfulness of old bookstores and the feeling evoked by the scent of old books. This scent particularly is inspired by one of my dearest who’s favorite past time is going to old vintage bookstores, a favorite of which is City Lights in San Francisco’s North Beach. Often hunting gems off the clearance shelves of old, forgotten books that carry so much history and every odd topic you can imagine.
Ingredients:
- 100% Natural Soy & Coconut Wax.
- Pure Essential Oils & Premium Fragrance Oils.
- 100% lead-free cotton wick (5.7 oz) or natural crackling wooden wick (8.5 oz).
- Reusable elegant frosted amber glass jar with natural bamboo lid.
Burn time:
- 8.5 oz: up to 50 hours
- 5.7 oz: up to 30 hours
The 8.5 oz size is perfect for bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens.
The 5.7 oz size is perfect for smaller spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, nooks..etc.

Please make sure to follow these to help you achieve the best possible life and cleanest burn out of your candle:
- Keep wick upright and trimmed to ¼” before each lighting of your candle (our wick trimmers are perfect for this). Trimming before every burn is crucial & will help ensure minimal sooting/smoking & an even clean burn.
- At each burn cycle, be sure to allow the melt pool (liquified wax) to reach the full diameter of the candle jar before extinguishing to prevent tunneling & wasted wax on subsequent burns. Wax has a memory, the melt pool will generally only reach the same diameter it had on the last burn.
- Always burn within site & keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire & place on temperature safe surface to avoid heat damage.
- Keep away from drafts.
- Discontinue use when ¼’’ of wax remains, this will preserve your jar from heat damage.
- To reuse our beautiful jars, simply clean it by first freezing the last bit of wax that remains and sliding it right off with a spoon. Any remaining wax residue can be easily removed with hot water.
- Please do not scrub or scratch the jar as this may cause damage to the color coating of the glass.
